Today, the Mint is slated to begin circulating a new gold-colored $1 coin featuring the face of George Washington, the country’s first president. Every three months the Mint plans to issue dollar coins with a new president, in succession all the way to Richard M. Nixon in 2016. (The Monitor, Thursday)
