Hello, I spent the summer around a two-year-old once who only spoke one word over and over: "Mine, mine, mine." The fear in the post above is that socialism will be allowed to work, since the U.S. isn't an external entity to itself that can attack militarily or place sanctions or do some other coercive thing(s). Voluntary, unselfish socialism is best. Why aren't you all calling for it? Why are you acting as if the only choice is between laissez-faire capitalism and coercive socialism? The big question that I have is how much money in this stimulus plan is being allocated for public works programs and how many jobs will it create and it’s relationship to GDP? My feeling is that the given is short term employment however, a negative impact on GDP.

Ah, but this is not Keynesian at all. It reflects a new economic analysis that is based entirely on free enterprise. No government jobs at all!

See the full 2009 Report. This is a Program designed to get full-employment without inflation. The first such possibility.

It also repays the Treasury more than the cost over time.

Since its Keynesian in concept that means its also socialist in actuality…

This means those tax credits of dubious value is a load being shuffled off on someone else…

Up to 6 million jobs and 4 million small businesses can be created by A Human Investment Tax Credit Program.

This is missing from the stimulus package.

One component, a jobs tax credit, became law for one year and generated more jobs in less time than any legislation in our history.

The full Report contains a post Keynesian economic analysis.

The short version includes only what can be done and how Congress can do it.
