  1. I looked at Ludwig von Mises Socialism, Between Two Wars, and Human Action. I think he is a truly great man and my late father would have agreed with him. Government keeps making the same economic mistakes that it is not a good government. I have the book Money, Greed and God which tells us Jesus’ Parables on money and that Capitalism is the best system going. The JBS journal American Opinion had von Mises, F. A. Hayek and Hans Sennholz as their writers and that is why Dad and I are Birch Society members. Dad and I hated liars as Presidents and war. Reagan did not lie to us and we loved him for it.

  3. Ironically, Peter, the JBS claims Reagan was a “phony conservative” who was controlled by “Insiders” (the term they use to replace Communist).

In fact, Mrs. Robert Welch left the Society because its new management (including the current President, John McManus) savaged Reagan in the pages of its magazine, The New American. McManus went so far as to claim that if Reagan was nominated for President it would only be possible if he was “a lackey” of the Communists.
