In observance of the President’s Day the National Review Online published “The Presidents: A Conservative Tour“. FEE president Lawrence W. Reed offer his short comments on William Henry Harrison, Grover Cleveland and Woodrow Wilson. Here is one of his two comments on Grover Cleveland:
He supported sound money, free trade, and balanced budgets. . . . `Though the people may support the government,’ he opined, ‘the government should not support the people.’ And he was a Democrat!
