Communicating Liberty 2014
Advanced Training for FEE Alumni
Emory Conference Center & Hotel | Atlanta, GA | August 8 - 10, 2014
“Correct methodology is itself the practice of liberty, and practice is the best of all possible instruction…The sole force that will turn indifference into acceptance is the power of attraction.” - Leonard E. Read
Communicating Liberty is for those who have already been inspired by the freedom philosophy and now want to become effective and attractive communicators of those ideas. Becoming an advocate for liberty depends on being an effective communicator. This seminar will equip participants with the necessary tools to spread their acquired knowledge.
The program will consist of two components–a group project and a summit– in which participants directly contribute to FEE’s efforts to bring the ideas of liberty to new young leaders.
July 6, 2014: The first component is an online seminar focused on how best to communicate the ideas of liberty to all types of personalities. Following the online seminar, participants will be divided into groups of five and will meet digitally prior to the seminar. Each group will be assigned the task of designing a marketing campaign that reaches out to various personality types within the 14-24 year-old age range. Groups will have access to the FEE Alumni Board as mentors to assist with their campaign.
August 8-10, 2014: The second portion of the program will consist of a weekend summit in Atlanta, GA. The program will include communications workshops and presentations by some of the best communicators of the freedom philosophy. Groups will present their project pitch to be judged and awarded at the seminar.
Additionally, participants will be inducted into the FEE 100, a five-year project comprised of exceptional FEE alumni who will be consulted on their experience with the freedom philosophy in their education and careers.
