Members of the Liberty Elite Club form the bedrock of FEE's efforts on behalf of liberty. Generous benefactors, they support FEE in its guiding mission to offer the clearest and the most persuasive explanation of the principles of liberty and free enterprise to hundreds of thousands of people around the world.
Leonard Read, the founder of FEE, was persuaded that "it is much better to light a candle, than damn the darkness." He believed that to keep the flame of liberty ablaze it is crucial to win one mind at a time.
To encourage and appreciate the moral support and generosity of those visionary individuals who have looked ahead and recognized that there is a great need for sound education in the freedom philosophy, the Foundation for Economic Education launched its Liberty Elite Club in October 2003.
Members of the Liberty Elite Club are our most loyal, passionate and generous friends and partners. Contributions from the Club members have funded student seminars, provided for outreach programs, periodicals, books and the website, maintained the FEE headquarters in Irvington, and made the freedom message available to all students of liberty. Liberty Elite Club Members ensure that FEE will defend and spread the ideas of liberty long into the future!
As an acknowledgment of their commitment, Liberty Elite Club Members receive a Special Certificate of Membership, invitations to exclusive events and receptions, all FEE publications, video and audio recordings, annual bound volumes of The Freeman, President's Report, and much more.
The Liberty Elite Club offers three commitment levels over five years -- Bronze, Silver or Gold. Memberships are fluid; members may join at the Bronze level and, over time, increase their commitment to Silver or Gold status. Membership is recognized and rewarded at the time a commitment is pledged.
