A Trendsetter?

FEE just got recognition for doing cool stuff in the movement

OCTOBER 09, 2013 by THE FREEMAN

Spark Freedom has chosen FEE for their Trendsetters award. We have to admit, it feels nice to be recognized.

Here's what they had to say:

FEE took to the internet to settle common debates within the freedom movement. After visitors read the opposing arguments, they were able to vote for the side they agreed with.

Click here to see FEE’s online debate forum, The Arena.

Of course, we'd like to thank Spark Freedom for the recognition.

We think The Arena is a great way not only to reframe controversies through the freedom lens, but also to offer a "safe space" for classical liberals and libertarians to mix it up. We keep each other honest, test the limits of our thinking, and bring newcomers into the ideas using the pull of controversy.

CURRENT ISSUE

July/August 2014

The United States' corporate tax burden is the highest in the world, but innovators will always find a way to duck away from Uncle Sam's reach. Doug Bandow explains how those with the means are renouncing their citizenship in increasing numbers, while J. Dayne Girard describes the innovative use of freeports to shield wealth from the myriad taxes and duties imposed on it as it moves around the world. Of course the politicians brand all of these people unpatriotic, hoping you won't think too hard about the difference between the usual crony-capitalist suspects and the global creative elite that have done so much to improve our lives. In a special tech section, Joseph Diedrich, Thomas Bogle, and Matthew McCaffrey look at various ways these innovators add value to our lives--even in ways they probably never expected.
